Privacy Notice

1. What this notice covers

This notice explains how the Valuation Hallucination team handles personal information on valuationhallucination.com, including the Founders’ Round waitlist, referral milestones, community vote and digital Founders’ Cap Table.

2. Information we collect

• Information you provide: email address, consent choices, referral attribution and, if you unlock and opt into the digital Cap Table, a display name.
• Program information: Founder ID, archetype, virtual valuation, referral count, milestone status, vote allowance and the time and source of signup.
• Technical and product analytics: our hosting, security and analytics providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, device/browser data, timestamps, pages viewed, campaign attribution and interactions such as starting or completing the waitlist flow. We use anonymous analytics profiles and PostHog session replay to understand navigation, clicks, scrolling and visual page changes. All form inputs are masked before replay data is sent, URL query strings are removed from recordings, and the Founder ID and referral result panel is excluded. We do not use advertising cookies on this pre-launch page.

3. How we use information

• operate the waitlist and preserve your Founder status;
• attribute qualified referrals and prevent abuse;
• send the community vote, Kickstarter launch notice and requested game updates;
• verify eligibility for the Founder Edition bonus;
• publish an approved display name only after you separately opt into the Cap Table;
• secure, debug and improve the site; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce the Founders’ Round Terms.

4. Why we process it

Depending on where you live, we rely on your consent, the steps you ask us to take to administer the Founders’ Round, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the program, and applicable legal obligations. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time.

5. When information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We may share only what is needed with providers that host the site and database, measure product usage, deliver email, prevent abuse or support campaign fulfillment. Current infrastructure includes Vercel for hosting, Neon for database services and PostHog for product and web analytics. If you back on Kickstarter, Kickstarter handles the information you provide to its platform under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service.

6. Public information

Your email address is never displayed publicly by the Founders’ Round. If you earn the Cap Table milestone, we will ask you to opt in and choose a display name before anything is published. Do not choose a display name containing private information you do not want others to see.

7. Retention

We retain waitlist and milestone records while the pre-launch, campaign and fulfillment process is active, and for up to 24 months afterward where reasonably needed for support, program integrity and legal records. Suppression information may be kept longer so that we can honor an unsubscribe request. You may request deletion, although deleting the program record ends Founder status and associated milestones.

8. Your choices and rights

Every marketing email will provide an unsubscribe method. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, or receive a portable copy of personal information. To make a request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify that the email address belongs to you.

9. Age eligibility

The Founders’ Round is not intended for children under 16. Participants under the age of majority must have permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child joined without appropriate permission, contact us so we can remove the record.

10. International processing and security

Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to this lightweight pre-launch service, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this notice as the campaign, providers or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to hello@valuationhallucination.com.
